We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Curriculum Director to lead our Construction curriculum team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our construction curriculum strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our construction curriculum strategy, ensuring it is aligned with industry needs and standards.
  • Manage and motivate a team of Curriculum Managers to deliver high-quality construction programs.
  • Work closely with our Head of Curriculum Delivery to ensure our curriculum meets the requirements of awarding bodies and funding agencies.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key employers in the construction industry to inform curriculum development and maximize employer engagement.
  • Identify and develop new curriculum opportunities to meet the future needs of the industry.
  • Implement effective strategies for learner recruitment, retention, and achievement, achieving higher standards year on year.
Requirements
  • Relevant construction industry experience and qualifications.
  • Level 5 teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 or above in English and maths.
  • Experience of working with construction-related qualifications and awarding bodies.
  • Leading multi-site operations in an educational setting.
  • Extensive experience in leading large teams in an educational context, with knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
  • Experience of implementing improvement strategies in an educational context.
  • Experience of managing budgets and capital resources.
  • Knowledge and requirements of apprenticeship programs, particularly the new standards in England and Modern Apprenticeships in Scotland.
  • A proven track record of obtaining very good results in an educational context.
  • Extensive experience of working with young people and adults to create a fantastic learning experience.
  • Networking at a senior level, both internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with reporting accountability.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results.
