Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes
  • Contribute to the final assembly of products and create required documentation
  • Update 3D models and drawings, and input parts into the MRP system
  • Check drawings for sign off and work collaboratively with the team on varied projects
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position
  • Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
