About the Company: The Institute of the Motor Industry. limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

Job Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing new hydraulic brake control products and producing change work using 3D Solidworks. You will also support production with current products, be comfortable with GD&T, and produce first principle calculations to verify your designs.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to be qualified to degree standard in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years design experience gained within a similar role. You will also need to have a knowledge and understanding of hydraulic principles and design considerations.

What We Offer: The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of £42,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, 33 days holiday, early Friday finish, ongoing training and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design new hydraulic brake control products using 3D Solidworks
  • Produce change work and support production with current products
  • Be comfortable with GD&T and produce first principle calculations to verify designs
