We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Housing Officer to join our team at Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust. As a Community Housing Officer, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding services to our customers, working closely with residents, colleagues, and external partners to achieve our mission of helping all our customers to live longer and live better.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with residents on a day-to-day basis, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and priorities to develop outcome-focused action plans.
- Support the development of sustainable communities, delivering community engagement and health and wellbeing activities that enable residents to live, grow, and thrive together.
- Use your knowledge of voids, lettings, income collection, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy management to deliver a responsive and sensitive service to those who are at risk, making referrals where appropriate to relevant agencies.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for delivering outstanding services to customers, with a strong focus on customer service, communication, and partnership development. You will have a proven track record of working in a similar role, with experience of developing and delivering community engagement and health and wellbeing activities. You will be comfortable working on your own, as well as with colleagues across the business, and will have a full driving licence with access to a car.
What We OfferWe offer a fantastic holiday allowance of 33 days per annum (including statutory holidays), which rises to 38 days after 5 years service. We also offer a 35-hour working week, an enhanced 5% employer contribution pension scheme, and a great recognition scheme. We are committed to providing a safe, affordable, and comfortable home for all our customers, and we pride ourselves on ensuring our properties support and help people live well and independently for longer.
