About the Role

Our client, a leading airport operator, is seeking a skilled Procurement Lead to support the procurement of construction-related frameworks. As a key member of the procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient procurement, value for money, and social value delivery within the construction category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Framework Procurement Strategy: Develop and lead the procurement strategy for construction-related frameworks, including drafting and implementing procurement plans.
  • Gaining a Deep Understanding: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the current framework agreement to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Head of Procurement and Contracts, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Selection Process Coordination: Coordinate the drafting and evaluation of the Selection Questionnaire, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to ensure a fair and transparent process.
  • Tender Preparation: Coordinate the drafting of the Invitation to Tender (ITT) and associated documents for the framework/s, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
Requirements
  • Regulatory Procurement Experience: Proven experience in procurement regulations, including UCR and Public Procurement Regs.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and ability to analyze complex data to inform procurement decisions.
  • Construction Category Experience: Prior experience in the construction category, with a strong understanding of the procurement process and associated regulations.
  • Qualifications: MCIPS or RICS qualification is highly desirable.
