Job Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in the Paediatric Audiology Service, working closely with the team to provide high-quality care to patients. The post holder will be responsible for conducting diagnostic auditory electrophysiological assessments for neonates referred from the New-born Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP) and interpreting results in line with national and regional guidelines.
Main Duties
- Perform and interpret paediatric diagnostic audiology test results, communicating findings to parents and patients in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Fitting and verifying hearing instruments, as well as evaluating their effectiveness.
- Applying evidence-based practice and relevant clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Providing specialist input to patients across various care pathways and healthcare settings.
- Participating in regional, departmental, and multidisciplinary meetings to share knowledge and best practices.

Person Specification
- MSc Audiology or equivalent qualification.
- Registration as a clinical scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Current experience and training in electrophysiological auditory assessment of neonates referred from NHSP.
