Functioning independently within the Legal framework, the Ethics & Compliance team empowers team members to confidentially voice concerns, thereby enhancing a culture of openness. The team also undertakes investigations into potential misconduct and supports the safeguarding of whistleblowers.

We are seeking an Ethics & Compliance Manager to facilitate the ongoing execution of Deliveroo's global ethics and compliance initiatives, spearhead critical workstreams, assist the business with new projects, and investigate and resolve issues of concern.

The ideal candidate will possess a knack for tackling complex challenges, a willingness to explore innovative methods for engaging stakeholders, and a desire to cultivate a robust and forward-thinking compliance program, all while maintaining a strong sense of purpose.

This role is hybrid; presence in a Deliveroo office is required three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Deliveroo's ethics and compliance initiatives across various international jurisdictions, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance our compliance systems and controls;
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks across diverse business functions and geographic areas;
  • Continuously monitor and audit internal processes, adapting to changes in compliance regulations and laws, while reporting findings to Legal leadership;
  • Perform desktop due diligence on our supply chain and partners;
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of Ethics & Compliance policies and procedures to align with evolving regulatory requirements;
  • Deliver training and communications regarding our policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand their compliance obligations and ethical standards;
  • Conduct internal investigations to address any alleged violations of rules, regulations, or policies, and develop measures to enforce Deliveroo's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in compliance, auditing, or legal within a fast-paced, multinational organization, demonstrating a strong track record of execution and delivery;
  • Proven experience in collaborating with global stakeholders across all functions and levels;
  • A university degree, preferably in Law;
  • Familiarity with the Bribery Act, Criminal Finances Act, International Sanctions, Anti-Money-Laundering laws, and/or the Modern Slavery Act;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous;
  • Experience in conducting internal investigations and developing measures to uphold the Company's Code of Conduct;
  • A strong desire for learning and a willingness to actively engage in various tasks.
  • A practical, innovative, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and compliance risk mitigation.
