Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team, delivering engaging and accessible English lessons to students with Autism and SEMH. As an English Teacher in this SEN school, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and SEMH.
- Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are met.
- Collaborate with the wider school team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and parents, to support student progress.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
- A strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and how these impact learning and development.
