Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our payroll and pensions service, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll and expense calculations, as well as providing information for statutory reporting and day-to-day administration of car leasing schemes and the NHS Pension scheme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process payroll and expense calculations with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide information for statutory reporting and compliance with client organisation policies
  • Administer car leasing schemes and the NHS Pension scheme
  • Investigate and respond to payroll and pension queries from employees and client organisation managers
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll and pension work

Requirements
  • Previous demonstrable payroll experience and use of computerised payroll systems
  • Proven working knowledge of general office procedures and practices
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity, and effectiveness at all levels
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Good keyboard and numeracy skills to carry out complex financial calculations
Person Specification

NVQ Level 4 or equivalent demonstrable experience in a similar role
