About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Operative Track Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the track network, including inspection, repair, and replacement of rails, sleepers, and ballast.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the track network, including drainage and ancillary structures.
  • Contribute to the development of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance overall performance.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and non-technical skills.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
  • Valid driving license (category B) and ability to drive Network Rail vehicles.
