SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Underley Garden School, a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils and young people, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities.
About the Role:As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with the Headteacher to develop a curriculum and lead on a curriculum area(s). You will create a positive and safe learning environment for the pupils and promote positive relationships between peers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning
- Work with pupils of all ages, including those with complex communication, sensory, and behavioural needs
- Collaborate with the Headteacher and other staff members to develop a curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
- Lead on a curriculum area(s) and develop a curriculum that is engaging and effective for pupils with complex needs
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive relationships between peers
