About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ty Galan, a 3-bedroom home in Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities, additional needs, and personal development of our young adults with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care to each individual, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualized care plans, under the guidance of our senior team.
  • Support our people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and nights if required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential.
