Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Farm Manager to join our team at Websters Rural. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of crop production, working closely with our Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of crop operations, including crop selection, soil preparation, and harvesting.
  • Assist the Farm Manager in the day-to-day management of the farm, including supervising staff and coordinating farm activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yields and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of farm operations with other business functions.
  • Deputise for the Farm Manager during absences and provide leadership and guidance to farm staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in agricultural operations, including crop production and farm management.
  • Strong knowledge of crop production techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
