Position Overview: Civil/Structural Engineer

We are actively seeking skilled Civil & Structural Engineers to enhance our team across the UK. In this role, you will engage in various aspects of our Water Industry initiatives, including evaluating civil, structural, pipeline, and MECIA assets, formulating investment strategies, and crafting innovative solutions. This sector presents exciting opportunities for RPS, particularly with recent achievements such as the Scottish Water Asset Inspection framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing structural inspection initiatives
  • Collaborating with innovation teams to test new methodologies
  • Contributing to diverse work packages throughout different design stages
  • Providing expert technical guidance across multiple projects
  • Developing tailored technical strategies for clients
  • Coordinating efforts with specialized disciplines
  • Mentoring junior engineers
  • Facilitating successful project delivery
  • Keeping abreast of the latest technical advancements

Candidate Profile:

  • BEng or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or in the process of achieving it
  • Experience in consulting engineering environments
  • Familiarity with engineering design protocols
  • Background in civil/structural inspections
  • Understanding of BS/EN standards
  • Proficiency in relevant data analysis tools
  • Valid UK driving license
