Job Summary

Westbury Group Practice is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative and forward-thinking practice as part of the Primary Care Network (PCN) Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a range of acute, non-acute, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Provide pre-arranged and same-day visits to housebound patients, demonstrating safe and effective clinical decision-making within the primary care role.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, while building effective working relationships with external healthcare professionals.
  • Manage the Practice's infection, prevention, and control (IPC) policies, with additional training available if required.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: Degree or equivalent advanced clinical skills qualification, experienced Independent Prescriber, RGN with current NMC registration, and current UK driving license and insurance.
  • Desirable qualifications: Masters degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or working towards, involvement in mentoring/teaching learners, experience in leadership roles and change management, and experience in telephone triage and visiting patients in their own homes or residential settings.
