Job Summary: The AICRIstart initiative is dedicated to laying a robust groundwork for cancer research in Ireland, with a particular emphasis on precision medicine in oncology. This initiative, supported by a Strand III Higher Education Academy North-South Award, fosters collaboration among multiple academic entities. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to a project focused on chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and its interaction with the microbiome. The primary objective is to uncover early indicators of immune system decline within the microbiome, aiming to identify patients at risk who may benefit from timely intervention.
The successful candidate will integrate into a vibrant and collaborative research team that values excellence, translational impact, and a rich research environment. The role is situated at the Personalised Medicine Centre within the School of Medicine, with occasional responsibilities at the School of Biomedical Sciences.
Note: This position is not eligible for university sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
