Cleaning Operative | Housekeeping | Bank Role, Flexible Hours | Norwich | Free Parking Available

Spire Norwich Hospital is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Cleaning Operative. In this role, you will be tasked with delivering a thorough cleaning service across various departments, ensuring all designated areas within the hospital are maintained to the highest standards. This position operates on a bank contract basis, allowing you to choose shifts that fit your availability to cover for staff absences or increased demand.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patient rooms for new admissions Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms on a daily basis Ensure departments and communal areas are kept clean Adhere to the established daily and weekly cleaning schedules Adapt to changes in workload to support continuity of care and quality improvement Assist nursing staff in preparing patient rooms for admissions Provide support to team members, including occasional supervision of junior staff

Ideal Candidate Profile

Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality is advantageous, though not mandatory No formal qualifications are necessary; comprehensive training will be provided Familiarity with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations is a plus Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with staff and patients Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Must demonstrate initiative and a systematic approach to tasks
