Location:

Remote with occasional national travel.

Nacro is a leading Social Justice Charity with over 50 years of experience in transforming lives, fostering stronger communities, and collaborating with stakeholders to reduce crime.

Nacro operates the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS), a nationwide initiative across England and Wales.

This service enables Courts to utilize bail more effectively by providing community accommodation and support for adult defendants who might otherwise remain in custody.

CAS also assists adults released from custody within the last three months of their sentence under Home Detention Curfew (HDC) and other License Orders.


Primary Purpose of the Role:

In response to the growth of our support services, we are looking for an Onboarding Specialist to join our practice development team.

The Onboarding Specialist will be instrumental in integrating new team members across the CAS-2 contract.

Your responsibilities will include crafting comprehensive and effective onboarding plans, collaborating with managers to ensure a seamless induction experience, and stepping in for Service Leads as required.

You will oversee the attendance and effectiveness of training initiatives, report on their outcomes, and devise strategies to enhance the onboarding process.


Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with operational teams and managers to develop tailored training plans for new hires.
• Establish a cohesive approach to training and development throughout the contract.
• Monitor the execution and impact of training plans.
• Act as a resource for new staff, offering support and materials as necessary.
• Provide reports to the practice development manager and senior leadership regarding training plan effectiveness.
• Gather feedback and formulate solutions to bridge gaps in the onboarding program.
• Coordinate with Learning and Development colleagues to ensure a smooth experience for new starters.
• Design and implement refresher courses for both new and existing staff.
• Identify and address training needs beyond the onboarding process.
• Prepare reports and recommend service enhancements.
• Assist managers in completing quarterly sign-offs in accordance with the CAS-2 onboarding passport.
• Engage in staff meetings, supervision sessions, training workshops, and performance reviews.
