Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior clinical pharmacist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our community-based staff, you will be responsible for providing and developing a clinical pharmacy service for the Wigan and Leigh Specialist Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT), including an Outpatient Medication Review clinic.

Main Duties
  • Run pharmacy services to the Community Mental Health Teams, working under the supervision of senior pharmacists.
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service, including medication reviews and clinical input, to optimize safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Act as an expert source of pharmaceutical advice for health and social care staff, patients, and carers.
  • Support the multi-disciplinary team by attending care planning meetings and line management/supervision of pharmacists, technicians, and the wider team.

Person Specification
  • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate diploma or master's qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent knowledge through relevant experience.
  • Experience of delivering a clinical pharmacy service, including prescribing, and working in mental health.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to plan own workload with priorities and objectives.
