Job Opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager

SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to provide strategic support to staff and sites in the North of the Region.

About the Role

  • We offer a competitive salary range of £47,689 to £55,939, plus a car allowance, bonus, healthcare, and pension benefits.
  • The role can be based in either Newcastle or Lancashire.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a customer-facing role requiring weekly travel across the region, with a need for flexibility.
  • You will advise, guide, coach, support, and train operational managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and employees.
  • As a collaborative leader and people manager, you will provide guidance, support, and development to your team of Health and Safety advisors and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving will be a natural part of your role, helping to drive pragmatic and practical infield Health and Safety solutions.

Requirements

  • You will need a Nebosh Diploma/NVQ level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health and be a Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
  • Prior experience in recycling and recovery is desirable.
