Conveyancing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy conveyancing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running and administration of conveyancing files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of standard letters and documents via the Case Management system from the outset of a transaction through to completion.
  • Prepare bills and completion statements, and set up and deal with completions and all post-completion matters.
  • Comply with the firm's money laundering requirements, obtaining clear results and producing standard letters to clients requesting proof of identification.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, estate agents, solicitors, intermediaries, and other 3rd parties, providing updates and general advice via telephone, email, or in person.
  • Prepare work as requested by Conveyancing fee earners, and assist in the personal organization of fee earners through the operation of the Case Management system.
  • Update the Land Registry and various lender online portals, and create online ID requests and request funds via our online portal.
  • Filing of papers and other general administrative duties.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience and knowledge of working in an Assistant role in a Residential Conveyancing Department.
  • Ability to demonstrate a methodical approach to work, completed under strict deadlines.
  • Professional and attentive telephone manner.
  • Attention to detail.
