About the Role

We are working with a leading main contractor to find an experienced Site Agent or Sub Agent for their Highways Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site staff and sub-contractors, providing method statements and project management plans, and ensuring timely and profitable completion of contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager in the execution of their duties and management of smaller construction contracts
  • Manage site staff operatives and sub-contractors
  • Prepare and monitor programmes of work
  • Assess and engage sub-contractors
  • Manage design co-ordination
  • Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary
  • Foster good relations and reputation with clients
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Site Agent for a main contractor
  • Good communication skills with the ability to instruct and direct staff
  • Experience in the civils sector working with NEC forms of contract
  • SMSTS
  • Temporary Works experience
  • Full UK Driving License
  • First Aid (desirable)
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
