Job Summary:
Holroyd Howe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Assistant - Food Service Professional to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving meals, and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain the cleanliness of the front of house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils, and following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
- Teamwork: Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Ideally have experience working within education catering or a similar environment.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Have good health and safety knowledge and be able to maintain a clean and safe food service environment.
- Flexibility: Be flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and able to work well in a team.
