Exciting Opportunity for a Culinary Leader
Position: Head Chef
We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to oversee a bustling Deli/Café environment. This role is situated within a vibrant farm shop setting, offering a unique culinary experience.
Location: Belper
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 45 hours per week
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a role with sociable hours. The successful candidate will lead the kitchen operations in a high-traffic food and beverage establishment, thriving in a café/deli atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the café
- Innovate and develop new recipes and ideas for the production kitchen
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and desserts, including a full Sunday roast
- Utilize fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the farm and nearby producers
As the Head Chef, you will be expected to maintain a professional appearance, exhibit enthusiasm, and demonstrate a hands-on approach to kitchen management.
Additional Duties:
- Prepare all food in-house, including baking
- Create daily menus and specials
- Oversee kitchen sections, manage stock control, and handle ordering
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
