About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Physician to join our team at MAC Clinical Research in Manchester. As a Clinical Research Physician, you will play a key role in the development of new drugs and therapies, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Clinical Activities**:
    • Fulfill the role of Sub-Investigator/Principal Investigator where delegated.
    • Provide medical care and oversight of clinical trial participants.
    • Ensure trial-related procedures are completed in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines and in compliance with the protocol.
    • Conduct physical examinations and other clinical procedures.
    • Review medical reports and lab results.
    • Participate in site monitoring visits with Clinical Research Associates.
    • Perform on-call rota duties.
  • **Leadership and Management**:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.
    • Contribute to commercial awareness and targets.
    • Support professional development and training.
    • Recruit and manage healthy volunteers and patients.
  • **Physical and Work Environment Demands**:
    • Deal with bodily fluids.
    • Work with computer screens for extended periods.
    • Meet deadlines and work within strict timelines.
    • Travel between sites as required.
    • Attend national and international meetings.
Requirements
  • Full and current GMC registration.
  • 3-4 years post-graduation experience.
  • MRCP/MRCGP (desirable).
  • Pharmaceutical experience (desirable).
  • Strong interest or experience in psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, or neurology (desirable).
