In this role, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher to facilitate lessons, work alongside a dedicated team of support staff, and provide individualized assistance to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing the learning environment.
  • Engage with students on a one-to-one basis to enhance their learning experience.

To excel in this position, it is beneficial if you possess:

  • Experience in an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with learning challenges, including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
  • A solid understanding of Special Educational Needs or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • The ability to foster engagement and support students' social, emotional, and personal development.

Requirements to work with GSL Education as a Special Needs Support Assistant:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An updated CV with two relevant references from the past two years.
