Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects for Cyclife Aquila Nuclear. This will include project management, contract management, scheduling, cost control, resourcing & resource management, procurement, and project quality assurance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering, design, and turnkey projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Conduct successful administration and management of all allocated contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control projects to ensure they are delivered to budget and programme, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Accurately and autonomously complete internal and client project reporting, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  • Manage suppliers and sub-contractors for manufacturing, fabrication, and specialist services, ensuring high-quality delivery and timely completion.
  • Manage procurement of bought-out items, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Produce accurate and correct project documentation in line with the contract requirements, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Manage all project functions, including design, engineering, procurement, sub-contracted manufacture, build, testing, and installation.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients, ensuring their expectations are understood and met.
  • Identify opportunities for further work through discussions with the client, ensuring the company's interests are represented.
  • Manage change in scope and ensure appropriate compensation is received, ensuring the project remains within budget and programme.
  • Produce resourced programmes and work plans to accomplish the project, ensuring all necessary resources are allocated and utilized effectively.
  • Plan and manage allocated resources through the project phases, ensuring the project remains on track and within budget.
  • Provide accurate project forecast reports and plans in accordance with company processes and procedures.
  • Assess, direct, and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Responsible for overall quality and management of projects and programmes, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage budget and ensure financial accountability on nominated projects and those of their reports, ensuring the company's financial interests are represented.
  • Support Head of Projects and other business needs as required, ensuring the company's interests are represented.
  • Line management of other team members, including one-to-one and appraisals, ensuring the team is motivated and performing effectively.
  • Any other job duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
  • Understanding of GDPR/data protection legislation procedures and requirements in a highly regulated environment.
  • Support business change, via effective change management processes in the context of Cyclife Aquila Nuclear's fast-paced regulatory environment.
  • Responsible for your own workplace safety, demonstrating commitment to health and safety, ensuring all statutory obligations are met and the safety of staff, clients, and visitors are in line with the UK and European standards.
