The University of Oxford is seeking a dedicated and approachable individual to become a vital part of our finance team within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN). This role is essential in supporting our esteemed researchers and students.
As a **Financial Administration Specialist**, you will be responsible for managing a variety of financial processes, including Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Expense claims. Your accuracy and timeliness in these transactions are crucial.
Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure a **customer-centric**, high-quality service is maintained, while also ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with university financial regulations.
Effective communication skills are necessary as you will interact with a diverse range of individuals. Your ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude will be essential.

The NDCN encourages professional growth through the University’s Work Learn Develop program, offering funded training and development opportunities.
This position presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to pursue a finance qualification while contributing to the NDCN.
Applicants should possess at least A level qualifications, along with GCSEs in English and Maths (minimum grades C / 4), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant experience in financial administration is essential.
It is advantageous to have undertaken or be willing to pursue an AAT qualification, possess knowledge of the university's Oracle financial system, and have experience in an academic or research setting.
This is a full-time permanent position, with the possibility of part-time hours at a minimum of 0.8 FTE.
