At Newbridge, we are dedicated to generating sustainable and renewable energy through biomass Combined Heat and Power.Role Overview
The Accounts Assistant will support various accounting functions, including managing invoices, reconciliation, purchase orders, and generating reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raise purchase orders
2. Manage stock levels of PPE, stationery, and cleaning supplies
3. Arrange local accommodation for visiting management
4. Process invoices and match them to delivery notes
5. Reconcile statements and address supplier queries
6. Oversee credit card and PayPal transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliations
7. Provide holiday cover for sales invoicing and chip goods records
8. Generate ad hoc reports as requested by management
9. Assist in the audit process for financial and regulatory compliance
10. Adhere to the company's health, safety, and environmental policies
11. Complete any other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a similar accounting role with a solid understanding of the duties outlined
- Part or fully qualified Accounting Technician is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong numerical and literacy skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable in Sage Line 50
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a small team
- Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Personal attributes should include a positive attitude, resilience, and determination to succeed.
