Family Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practitioner to join our Women and Families team at The Nelson Trust. As a Family Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering trauma-informed, holistic services to families affected by substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of families, providing tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Offer interventions to build family resilience, improve parenting, and address the impacts of substance use.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, develop action plans, and support families in accessing specialist services.
  • Conduct assessments, participate in multi-agency meetings, and contribute to social care, safeguarding, and child protection efforts.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with families affected by substance misuse.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and holistic support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
