Job Description

Job Title: Tech and Data Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced tech and data lawyer to join our team at Jameson Legal for a 6-month assignment with a leading global financial services firm in Scotland.

The successful candidate will have upwards of 5 years' experience in advising on technology, data, and intellectual property matters across EMEA. They will be a trusted advisor for the technology department, advising on a wide range of technology laws and requirements, including:

  • Technology sourcing and outsourcing
  • Cloud computing and artificial intelligence
  • Intellectual property and operational resiliency
  • Emerging technologies and market data

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in advising on a breadth of technology, data, IP, and commercial contracts. They will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualified experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in advising on technology, data, IP, and commercial contracts
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The successful Tech and Data lawyer will work with a highly respected global financial services firm in Scotland, for an initial assignment of 6 months. The assignment will be undertaken on a hybrid basis, with the successful individual required to spend 3 days per week in the Glasgow office.
