Financial Controller Opportunity

Macildowie Finance is partnering with a dynamic, growth-oriented multinational organization to recruit a Financial Controller on a full-time permanent basis, to be based at their office in Leicester. This highly autonomous and exposed finance role will sit as part of the Senior Management Team and will have overall autonomy and ownership for all areas of finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management, coaching, and development of the finance function
  • Implementation of new processes to improve finance processes
  • Providing effective management information to the Directors to improve business performance
  • Review of the monthly management accounts as produced by the team
  • Budgeting and forecasting with analysis into variances
  • Treasury management, including cash flow reporting/management, hedging, etc.
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation and presentation of KPI reporting
  • Statutory accounts production and liaison with external Auditors
Requirements:
  • A Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA with previous experience in a Financial Controller's role working alongside and playing a key part in the Senior Management Team
  • A competent Excel User (Pivots, Look Ups, Ifs are a must)
  • A confident communicator with experience of partnering with senior-level operational stakeholders
  • Experience of operating in a hands-on and fully rounded accounting role is absolutely essential
