About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our Catering team at One Ashford Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional catering service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of menus for the ward, staff restaurant, and functions
  • Order stock from approved suppliers and ensure accurate deliveries
  • Ensure food is prepared to the highest standard and served on time
  • Follow HACCP regulations and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to achieve excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Communicate effectively with ward hosts and nurses to ensure patient and staff dietary requirements are met
Requirements
  • City and Guilds 706-1/2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
  • HACCP and Food Allergy training desirable
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with best practice, HACCP, and Health and Safety
