Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural solutions for a range of building types, including domestic, commercial, and historic properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop structural solutions for new build, extensions, and refurbishment projects
  • Conduct structural surveys and investigations, including stability and condition assessments
  • Provide specialist advice on traditional and system-built properties, including maintenance and repair
  • Manage demolition contracts and land remediation schemes from feasibility stage to completion
  • Prepare briefs and requirements for suppliers to complete major capital schemes
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and building regulations
  • Experience in conducting structural surveys and investigations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Essential Skills:
