Senior Audit Associate

This is an exciting opportunity to join our UK Audit team at Capital One (Europe) plc.

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to support the delivery of our Annual Audit Plan across the UK and Canada Credit Card businesses.

As a member of our UK Audit team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in operational and compliance-related audits, working closely with key business partners and the wider Audit group.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the delivery of the Annual Audit Plan, including limited travel opportunities
  2. Gaining a full understanding of the Card business
  3. Developing and nurturing strong relationships with key business partners and the wider Audit group
  4. Operating independently to ensure work is completed to schedule and meets our high-quality standards
  5. Assisting in communicating issues, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management
  6. Proactively following up on agreed audit actions to ensure management delivers their commitments within agreed timescales
  7. Proactively seeking out learning opportunities to continue to grow and develop in the role

Requirements include:

  1. Experience in internal or external auditing, risk management, accounting, financial analysis, information systems, compliance, or another related field
  2. Relevant qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, IIA, or equivalent) preferable
  3. Proven skills in assessing business risks and the ability to identify and design risk-based testing
  4. Ability to work independently
  5. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with ease
  6. Logical and rational judgement and an inquiring mind
  7. Experience in designing and executing tests using data (although coding skills are not essential)
