Senior Audit Associate Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our UK Audit team and contribute to delivering top-quality assurance services to the organisation's Audit Committee.

Capital One's Audit function is a dedicated group of professionals focused on providing high-value, independent, proactive insights to drive business growth and innovation.

We're seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Associate interested in becoming part of our UK Audit team. As a member of the UK Audit team, you'll focus on conducting operational and compliance-related audits for the UK and Canada Credit Card business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of the Annual Audit Plan across both the UK and Canada Card businesses
  • Gain a full understanding of the Card business
  • Develop and nurture strong and effective working relationships with key business partners and the wider Audit group
  • Operate independently to ensure work is completed to schedule and meets our high-quality standards
  • Assist in communicating issues, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management
  • Proactively follow up on agreed audit actions to ensure management delivers their commitments within the agreed timescales
  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities to continue to grow and develop in the role
Requirements:
  • Experience in internal or external auditing, risk management, accounting, financial analysis, information systems, compliance, or another related field
  • Relevant qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, IIA, or equivalent) preferable
  • Proven skills in assessing business risks and the ability to identify and design risk-based testing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with ease
  • Logical and rational judgement and an inquiring mind
  • Experience in designing and executing tests using data (although coding skills are not essential)
