Job Title: Clinical Practice Trainer - Simulation Focus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Practice Trainer to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Clinical Practice Trainer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a simulation service into our teaching facility for medical undergraduates, post graduates, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.

The successful candidate will have extended post-registration experience as a registered healthcare professional and be up to date in clinical skills. A degree in nursing, midwifery, or another health-related subject is required, along with evidence of continuing professional development. The post holder will have experience of teaching clinical skills and be able to provide simulation-based training within the curriculum requirements for medical undergraduates and national guidelines for postgraduate trainees.

The post holder will be based at the Western Isles Hospital but will support staff in all our healthcare locations throughout NHS Scotland. The ability to travel throughout the islands and to the mainland for meetings is essential. A driving license is required for this post.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
