Job Title: Financial Controller

A highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller is required to oversee and manage the financial operations and accounting activities within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cash flow reporting and forecasting to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Liaise with bankers and external credit providers to maintain strong relationships and secure funding.
  • Collaborate with credit insurers to manage overseas invoices and annual returns.
  • Support the annual budget process to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare monthly Group management reporting packs to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the fixed assets investment process, including maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Monitor and control overhead expenditure through monthly cost centre reporting.
  • Assist in annual audits, both UK and Group French audit, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collate annual statutory accounts, partnering with the SLT member where required.
  • Drive improvement in SAP governance and process compliance to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Provide support to the Sales team to ensure minimum Group margin expectations are met.
  • Manage IPR Chassis import declarations to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor all tax and regulatory compliance issues, including VAT and ONS returns.
  • Control employee expenses online claim portal to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Manage Finance assistants (3), covering Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Provide cover for Management accountant and CFO as required.
  • Support the project to upgrade from SAP bridge to SAP 4/HANA, group wide roll out programme.
  • Liaise with insurers on day-to-day matters and manage the annual renewal process.
  • Liaise with external advisors to seek clarification and guidance where required.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc requests from the CFO.
Requirements:
  • Strong Excel experience and knowledge.
  • SAP experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Co-operative approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative management style.
  • O365 suite of products experience.
  • Power BI.
