About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing intense supervision and support for trainees within our service, working closely with our service heads and leads across our 4 areas (Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest) to support the trainees to meet their training requirements, further development, and service needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality supervision and support to trainees, ensuring they meet their training requirements and develop their skills in evidence-based interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with service heads and leads to ensure the trainees' needs are met and the service is delivered effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYP-MH) program and its requirements.
  • Ensure the trainees are equipped to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the CYP-MH program.
Requirements
  • Appropriate qualification to be an existing senior CYPMHS clinician, i.e., Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, specific psychological therapy, or related field.
  • Qualifications and training in Evidence-Based interventions, i.e., CBT.
  • Two years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of supervising CYPMHS clinicians and trainees.
  • Experience of working with evidence-based approaches to low mood, anxiety, and behavior problems.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and parents presenting with a range of mental health difficulties and challenging behavior.
