About the Role

We are seeking a talented Architectural Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients and the construction team on building materials and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on building developments, including user needs, site and building surveys, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare designs using CAD software and traditional drawing methods.
  • Investigate and offer advice on factors affecting building developments.
  • Coordinate detailed design information and prepare specifications for construction work.
  • Prepare applications for approval by regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to meetings and document preparation.
  • Research new design processes, building legislation, and technology.
  • Monitor the work of other Architectural team members and make recommendations as needed.
  • Act as a mentor to new members of the design team and help them develop their design skills.
Requirements
  • A background in architecture.
  • A degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, M365, Sketchup, and InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of Revit.
