Knowledge Exchange Manager

We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Exchange Manager to join our dynamic team in a leading role. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver initiatives that promote and support external collaborations, leveraging the University's research expertise as outlined in our Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange through contract and collaborative research, consultancy, testing services, and knowledge transfer partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with academic and external partners, identifying opportunities for income generation through knowledge exchange.
  • Provide support and guidance on available opportunities, proactively engaging with SMEs, third sector, community, and commercial clients to understand their needs and broker agreements to support collaborative projects.
  • Secure income or grant funding, and identify business needs and communicate solutions in a clear and engaging way.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in knowledge exchange, technology transfer, or related fields, preferably within the university sector or industry.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of securing income or grant funding.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and influencing skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team with colleagues across the University.
