Job Opportunity: Specialist Dietitian for Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery

We are seeking a skilled and experienced dietitian to join our Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) team at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. This is a temporary, 9-month position to cover a period of maternity leave.

About the Role

As a Specialist Dietitian for Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with complex surgical and oncology needs. Your responsibilities will include providing support with UGI in and outpatients, including complex surgical and oncology Home Enteral Feeding patients. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in student training and contribute to the development of our dietetic service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dietetic support to patients with complex surgical and oncology needs
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Support the development of our dietetic service
  • Contribute to student training and education
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a dietitian
  • Experience in dietetics, preferably in a surgical or oncology setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
