Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Boden Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our Social Housing projects, ensuring that we obtain and evaluate information to guarantee a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that costs and profitability are aligned with project requirements.
  • Monitor contract progress and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
  • Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
  • Liaise with contract managers to establish project specifications and requirements.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of refurbishments and responsive repairs within a live environment. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a team of QS's and their workload while also managing your own projects. You will have strong commercial acumen, excellent attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
