About the Role

Cirrus Logic is seeking a highly skilled Senior / Staff Validation and Characterization Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to other engineering team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bench test, debug, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Develop automated test frameworks and regression test suites to optimize validation efficiency.
  • Architect and drive implementation of software framework methodologies based on Python.
  • Collaborate with Validation and Production Test engineering peers to implement best practices and continuous improvements to Cirrus Logic backend test methodologies.
  • Analyze test results and identify failures/defects using business intelligence tools.
  • Support and develop automation software for test equipment.
  • Write technical reports/summaries of all data collected.
Requirements
  • BSc, MSc or MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with proven experience in an IC Validation or Test Engineering role.
  • Advanced electrical engineering knowledge in analog, digital, power electronics, or audio engineering.
  • Experience in scripting languages, Python preferred, for test automation and data analysis.
  • Able to handle engineering tasks, combining experience in Characterization, Failure Analysis, Test Development, Statistical analysis, and Customer Support.
