About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Teaching Assistant to join our team at Autism Unlimited. As a Relief Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with autism in a class setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students with their learning
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, helping them to reach their full potential
  • Work with students in a class setting, supporting them with their daily activities and routines
  • Assist with preparing lessons and materials, and help to deliver the curriculum
  • Record and report on student progress and achievements

Requirements

  • GCSE grades A* - C (9- 4) in Maths & English - desirable
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and support students with varying needs
  • Fun and supportive nature, with a willingness to play and engage with students
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and support students with personal care needs
  • Good understanding of mental health and ability to support students with related needs
  • Physical fitness to participate in activities and exercises with students
