Business Unit Accountant Opportunity

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Unit Accountant to join their Financial Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain financial management experience in a large Acute Hospital setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build key relationships with operational managers and clinicians to gain a detailed understanding of services and support planning, improvement, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Lead and manage members of the Financial Management team, supporting development and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
About the Role

This is a pivotal role within the financial management function, managing and coordinating the production of monthly reporting for the Business Unit/Units in an accurately timely manner.

Person Specification

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated individual with experience of NHS Financial Management. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate analysis of complex finances and communicate finances to a variety of stakeholders.
