As an Electrical Technician with a focus on substations, you will be integral to the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems within our high-voltage substations.


Primary Duties Include:

  • Safely and effectively install, terminate, and test power cables in the substation setting.
  • Conduct wiring and assembly of control panels, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety regulations.
  • Connect and evaluate various electrical apparatus, including transformers, switchgear, and protective devices.
  • Identify and rectify electrical issues, collaborating with the team to reduce downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Keep precise records of wiring tasks, as-built drawings, and testing outcomes.

Necessary Certifications Include:
*SPEN COMP (formerly WI-1)

*SPEN AWP 09 (formerly WL1.05/ WL 1.08)

*Valid first aid certification

  • Valid Safety Passport
