Retail Trainee Manager

Majestic Wine is the UK's largest specialist wine retailer, operating a network of over 200 stores nationwide. With a rich history dating back to 1980, the company has undergone a significant transformation and turnaround programme, resulting in record market share growth and a new product range.
The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Majestic Trainee Manager. This 12-month development programme will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of operational, service, and leadership standards, setting you up for future success as a Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and optimising KPI performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Develop and execute a tasting events programme to showcase our product range.
- Take ownership of your wine knowledge and continuously learn about our products to support your WSET qualification.
- Ensure the physical appearance and maintenance of your store are of the highest standard.
- Participate in all operational tasks to establish a thorough understanding of store operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and complete mandatory training.
- Take ownership of your development and utilise available resources.
- Be an example of Majestic's Ways of Working and provide support to junior team members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
- Prioritise and problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a team environment.
- Adaptable and resilient to meet changing business demands.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn is essential.
- Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
