Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join our team as a Contractor within our Pipeline Group. As an NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections in the Global Weld Development Centre (GWDC) and coordinating inspection activities as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate NDT inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Carry out inspections on the shop floor as required, utilizing various NDT techniques such as UT, RT, MT, PT, and ToFD.
- Produce and interpret scans to identify defects and anomalies in welds and other materials.
- Prepare reports using our company's reporting system, highlighting findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate day-to-day requirements for inspection, including working with GWDC staff and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of examinations.
- Interface with NDT subcontractors to ensure that all examinations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and approve reports submitted by NDT subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Supervise NDT inspections carried out by Level 1 and 2 NDT Inspectors, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in the AUT Validation process for project work, including supervising the production of AUTV welds and coordinating validation activities in the GWDC.
- Support NDT developments and assist with practical aspects of procedure development for new techniques.
- Support the upkeep, maintenance, and compliance of NDT equipment and RT enclosures.
Requirements:
- PCN Level 2 certification in UT, RT, MT, PT, ToFD, and PAUT.
- Experience in pipeline girthweld inspection using AUT is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements to systems and procedures.
