About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for chairing Child Protection Conferences and Child Looked After reviews, ensuring that the needs of children and families are at the forefront of all decision-making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent chairing skills, including the ability to manage meetings, summarise and present information. You will also need to be an effective minute-taker for some meetings and have good organisation skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, networking with partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair key care planning meetings to ensure the needs of children and families are met
  • Monitor and review care plans to prevent drift and delay
  • Advocate on behalf of children and families to ensure their voices are heard
  • Work effectively with partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Work collaboratively within a team and the wider service to ensure a cohesive approach to safeguarding
